Hi,

What is the best way to aquire an FAC. I already own a couple of shotguns and various air-rifles and feel there is a need for an FAC.

Totally clean record, so that should not pose a problem.

I know there are sites that give information but I feel that one-to-one info makes more sense into getting the info that is required rather than what is not needed.

hi nick. all i did was done the form out asking for a .22lr and to buy 500 rounds a time but keep 600 they let me have it with no probs. i then waited 3-4 months and put in variation for 17hmr and got that Very Happy

make sure you put down for a sound moderator as well .

Hi Keith - I have been led to believe that it is not as simple as that.

Things like places to shoot, permission, reasons, storage areas different.

This is a bare bones question, from the very beginning. I know nowt about it, and don't want to mess things up.

I live in East Yorkshire and I think it may not be as easy as where you are, maybe others have had dealings with the law round here and shed some light of a FAC newby.

Ok here goes I will try and make it simple for you to understand .

first you need a good reason for owning an FAC target shooting/stalking/vermin/ECT.

then you need somwhere to shoot it farms/woodland/ranges

then you need writen permision for that land from the owner .

then get the forms from the cops fill them in and send them in with your fees as you have a shotgun license it shouldnt be to much hastle.

now get a gun cabinet with seperate ammo section .

and wait for the cops to contact you and pop round to have a quick chat and check your cabinate out .

Will have to get a form and fill it in. Got plenty of land (10000 Acres) dotted around here and there so one of them should give us written permission.
